Description
Instructor Led. Designed for civil engineers involved in road and corridor design, this comprehensive program empowers civil designers to create, edit, analyse and publish corridors using Autodesk Civil 3D, a leading software solution in civil engineering design and documentation.
Throughout the course, participants will engage in practical exercises and real-world examples, fostering a hands-on learning environment. Our experienced instructors will guide you through each module, providing valuable insights and tips to empower you to competently design corridors, generate surfaces and volumes, and output profile and section views. By the course's conclusion, participants will have acquired the essential skills to confidently navigate and leverage Civil 3D for their road design projects.
Pre Requisites
1 year hands-on experience with the software or have completed the Civil 3D site fundamentals course
Course Outline
Civil 3D Profiles. Building on the knowledge from the Civil 3D Fundamentals course, jump into creating profile views from your centreline alignments and explore the functionality to create profiles for your designs.
Civil 3D Alignments. Expanding on the Civil 3D Fundamentals course, we’ll review offset alignments and connected alignments to facilitate intersection design
Civil 3D Assemblies. Dive into subassemblies and assemblies, to deliver cross section control for corridor design. We’ll look into the different subassemblies and how they can be assembled into a cross section for use in a corridor.
Civil 3D Corridors. Master the art of creating corridors in Civil 3D, using assemblies, regions, target mapping and parameter overrides. Understand how to extract feature data from the corridor, build surfaces and display slope patterns
Civil 3D Section Views. Navigate the process of section view creation including the creation of sample lines. This will be an introduction to section view display as well as options for managing drafting on sections and projecting other objects into section views. Using sample lines you will also be able to extract section volumes
Civil 3D Sheet Production. We will introduce you to the process of sheet production to output multiple plan, long section and cross section sheets.
