Civil Site Design | Pipes - Classroom (VIC)
Tailored for civil engineers in pipe design, this program enables designers to proficiently create, edit, and publish pipe networks using Civil Site Design. Experienced instructors empower you to competently design stormwater, sewer, property connection and utility networks including outputting reports, plan labels and long sections. Acquire essential skills for leveraging Civil Site Design in pipe design projects.
Description
This comprehensive program empowers civil designers to create, edit, and publish pipe networks using Civil Site Design, including stormwater design incorporating rational method design for flow calculations. As well as stormwater networks, you will also learn how to create and manage sewer and utility networks, including property connection networks.
Throughout the course, participants will engage in practical exercises and real-world examples, fostering a hands-on learning environment. Our experienced instructors will guide you through creation, management and publishing of stormwater, sewer and utility pipe networks. This course will empower you to competently manage pipe and structure types, create and edit structures and pipes, calculate flows for stormwater, manage property connections and produce reports, pipe plan display, labelling, long sections.
Pre Requisites
1 year hands-on experience with the software or have completed the Civil 3D site fundamentals course
Course Outline
Civil Site Design Network Settings. Underpinning Civil Site Design pipe networks are the structure and pipe types, as well as the network settings that you can apply. Learn how to import your own rainfall data, manage design settings and create pipe and structure types.
Civil Site Design Stormwater Networks. We’ll explore how to layout your stormwater pipe network using selected structure and pipe parts including editing structure positions, adding catchments, designing with pipe flows based on rational method design, and editing branches.
Civil Site Design Sewer Networks. Dive into sewer design including adding property controls (house connections) for compliant vertical design. Learn how to layout your sewer pipe network, add and manage property connections, and edit branches.
Civil Site Design Utility Networks. Understand how to create utility networks from polylines and edit the designs to check for crossing pipe conflicts.
Pipe Vertical Design. Get into the heartland of the design process by editing each branch of your pipe network using the Vertical Grading Editor. Understand how to manage drops across structures, quickly edit elevations and pipe slopes, check for sufficient cover and avoid crossing pipes.
Labelling and Reports. Create plan labels for your pipe networks, generate and customise various reports for pipe/structure schedules and hydraulic outputs. Create property connection labels and tables for presentation output
Pipe Network Long Sections. Establish pipe branch sequencing and create pipe long section sheets for each of your networks.
