Course Registration

It is important that you are registered to attend the correct session. If you have enquired directly, you would have registered as part of the enrollment process. If you have been booked in as part of a company or institution, you would have received a link to register in the correct course.

Workspace

A quiet space without interruption. That not only helps you to concentrate but also reduces background noise for all attendees. Please ensure you have no other events occurring at the same time as the training sessions.

Screen Share

All Civil Survey Solutions Online courses and webinars are delivered via Zoom (https://zoom.us/)

Please ensure that you have the latest version of Zoom installed. (https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting)

Please run the below Zoom Test to confirm connection suitability. (https://zoom.us/test)

During the sessions, the instructor may need to access your screen and CAD software. Please install Zoom onto the same computer/laptop that you will conduct the training on.

If you are concerned your institution or company security protocols may restrict your access to the Zoom environment, please notify you IT Department in advance of the sessions.

Alternatively the ZOOM web browser made be used but with limited functionality. (https://zoom.us/signin#/login) This page will also confirm the Zoom details and any other important information.

Course Software

Please ensure the current version of the software used in your course is installed locally on your computer/laptop, and that you have an active licence for the duration of the course. 30 Day Trials are also available for CAD titles if you do not have a subscription, or am away from your office/workplace network.

Primary Hardware

Technical design software can have different system requirements depending on usage. Refer to the following vendor product links below for their recommended specifications.

Secondary Hardware

Civil Survey Solutions recommends the following set-up:

A stable internet connection with a minimum of 10mbps in the download direction.
A speaker or headset to hear the instructor, and a microphone to engage in conversation.
A webcam for a more engaging experience (can be disabled in your screen share software when required)
A second display or monitor to allow for the instructor’s screen to be shown separately.

Datasets

A training dataset (sample files and other information) will be made available to the attendees prior to the training. Please ensure these are downloaded and extracted to a convenient location. It is recommended that you make a shortcut to the drive location.
