Regular blocks allow you to reuse a group of objects repeatedly therefore saving time and providing consistency in your drawings. Introduced in AutoCAD 2006, Dynamic Blocks take that concept a step further allowing you to adjust shape, size, display as they are inserted.
These blocks can contain rules and restrictions that control the behaviour and appearance of a dynamic block inserted in a drawing. If you have a block library containing variations of an object and you insert them at various scales and rotation angles, you can probably save time with dynamic blocks. You can add these rules and restrictions to existing blocks as well as when creating new blocks.
In this webinar, we will look at: • Adding parameters • Adding actions • Defining parameter properties • Testing the block • Saving the block
